Anyone had a late miscarriage/missed miscarriage?

I've had a missed miscarriage at 4 months pregnant and will be going in to hospital tomorrow to be induced. I've googled a lot and read through the miscarriage sub forum on here, but I was wondering if anyone who had also been through this had any tips or advice? I've had a 1st trimester miscarriage before but that was early on enough that it all happened naturally at home and wasn't much worse than a very heavy period.

Thanks Xmas Smile.

Thank you @Greenbks and I'm sorry for your loss. Those minutes you had with your baby alive must have been very precious.

We have named him but I would prefer not say his name on a public forum, if that's ok, as it's a very unique name. I also feel a bit sad even talking about him still.

I was given some tablets to suppress my milk before I left hospital last night but I was still being sick a lot from the diamorphine so I'll have to wait and see whether it works!

Physically I feel surprisingly well today. I've got minimal bleeding and I'm not in any pain like I was with the full term labours I've had. Emotionally, I can't even think about it all. It's just too much to deal with.

I've had a huge bouquet of flowers and some chocolates delivered from work today which was very unexpected but lovely. I had a message yesterday from my DCs' headteacher sending her love and offering some counselling sessions for the kids, which I've accepted because I think the eldest in particular could really do with having someone to talk to. I've had an offer from someone willing to take them to school on Friday too and my DH can pick them up at the end of the day.

In other news, my poor Grandma has been taken into hospital with a stroke that hadn't been noticed, so has caused lasting damage. She's really poorly. Not a nice end to the year for anyone Sad.

@Trinpy that is such a rollercoaster with your gran, so sorry ❤️❤️❤️

Glad to hear you have support around you. Take each day as it comes, today sounds like a good enough day, so take it but don't overdo it. Be very gentle with yourself and whatever you feel is your normal. Sending you big hugs that will envelope you ❤️❤️
