Inspired by the 2020 predictions thread, in which NO ONE predicted a global pandemic Hmm , and Prince Philip didn't die, here's a place for your 2021 predictions:

I'll come back after I've had a think and tried very hard to be psychic.Xmas Wink

Absolute chaos at the ports building from Jan 1st. By end of Jan things will be really bad and Boris will be no where to be seen. A grown up will take over and go cap in hand to the EU to come up with a solution. There will be some moaning, but everyone will be relieved and sick of the whole thing. Pragmatism will take over.

Covid infections will rise horribly after Christmas, but the combination of a vaccine roll out and more knowledge of treatments will mean the follow on waves will be smaller until the end of the year when there will be reports of so many days/weeks without any deaths in the UK and it will no longer be top of the news.

Joe Biden will put climate change back at the forefront and an increase in droughts/fires will mean that countries will realise that not only do we have to do something, but that there is money in renewable energy and innovations that will save the planet.

Anyway I hope that is what will happen (though would like to skip the Covid peak, port chaos and disasters).

Furious Autumn storms will remove large quantities of sand from popular beaches on the north coast of Cornwall and Devon and change the landscape for at least 8 years.
