Does anyone have one of these?

I was thinking about getting one of these for dh to take to work as he loves his coffee, but is it a faff? I notice they have a travel version too. He doesn't have much time for breaks so needs to be really quick to make a good espresso!

@olderthanyouthink

The travel one seems pointless as the are small anyway. DP had one for years till he lost it on holiday Sad

James Hoffman has good videos on YouTube, might help (he owns a coffee roasters and is an expert)

@olderthanyouthink just spent the last half an hour watching James Hoffmann videos. He knows his stuff! And has just convinced me not to buy the Go version Grin

Yes we got the Aeropress Go for spare in lockdown, for being self sufficient at work. It packs neatly but the original is a better size.

For supermarket ground coffee we buy Illy tins or Lavazza black pack espresso, which are both quite fine, plus monthly hipster artisan coffee subscription Grin. Homesense often have vacuum tins too.

I have a large mug of strong black coffee made with my Aeropress every morning. I almost never drink espresso, it's too strong for me, but I don't see why you couldn't make one with an Aeropress, just use less water.

Love my aeropress, use it every day. Better than a nespresso machine. Tbh for a present I'd do it and not think twice. They are great

I got one for DH last year and he loves it! We buy coffee from a local company as well, so it benefits the local economy a tiny bit.

I love my aero press ! Chuck in some Aldi espresso ground coffee in a morning , warm up a bit of milk, lovely ! Easy to clean it just pops out straight into the recycling box for compost bin& quick rinse under tsp, loads easily to wash than the french press
