Day 1827: DP is tired

Just that really. I think I'm going to have to hide later if I have to hear one more time how tired he is. The whole country is tired, but I'll have you know DP is more tired.

Ooh we love competitive tiredness in this house! DH likes to talk about his exceptionally long and busy day, when he was in at 5, which means he left about 4.40! And I roll in at 6 and start the tea 😆

OverpaidT · 02/12/2020 19:39

@Susiesue61 see I can't enter the competition in this house as I only work 3 days a week. But the fact I work long shifts and at night and still get up with the baby is not worthy of being as tired as working FT.

My dh is tired because he was awake all night tossing and turning...funny because I had to get up to pee twice and he was fast asleep both times and when an owl woke me up. Unless he wasn’t asleep and was just pretending to snore so as to provide a consistent noise level lest I be disturbed and think he’d stopped breathing. Apparently I must be mistaken because he definitely did not sleep a wink. He’s also got a very very sore elbow which causes him to wince and groan and suck his teeth in pain every time he lifts so much as a cup of tea. He’s following me around asking me what on earth could be wrong with his elbow/telling me how tired he is but shuffles off at the mere suggestion of a nap/taking painkillers/speaking to a doctor.

Oh I know, and on my day off, he leaves all the jobs he would normally do because 'well you're off today ' Angry

@OverpaidT. Thanks 🍰. Sorry I kind of went off on a tangent! It truly is miserable, but obviously doesn't compare to 'man tired' 🥱

Have you considered a lovely new patio?

These have cheered me up about single parenting Grin

OP, does he have sleep apnea? I was feeling extremely tired for 2/3 years and was finally diagnosed with this.

Champagneforeveryone · 03/12/2020 17:36

DH has finished his 3 day working week and is Extremely Tired. I know this as we are in the Dramatic Yawn phase. Once he finds the energy to remove his boots we will then endure the slapping of the slippers, the inevitable result of him being too tired to lift his fucking legs up properly when he walks.

Fortunately I have a 12 hour night shift so my endurance of this tragic state is limited.

FunTimes2020 · 03/12/2020 17:55

Poor pet. Could he manage a bit of soup (on a tray of course) do you think?

Yet he was not too tired to help you conceive. So there must have been a five minute break from this tiredness at least once in five years.
