I’ve just leaked at work!

What do I do?
I’m on my period and have leaked onto my jeans. I’m in an office of around 25 people and have gone to the toilet and my pad has shifted so there’s blood on my jeans. It isn’t massive but I checked with my phone camera whilst in the cubicle and you can see it when I walk.
I’ve scuttled back to my desk and just shutting myself not knowing what to do.
Might just stay seated until the end of the day and run out quickly.

I always wear black trousers or jeans at work, much easier to hide if you leak.

How did you get on @fairynick ?

Happened to me as a 15year old in a summer job in a big store. Must have walked through the whole canteen with a huge blood stain on my skirt. I managed a sponge job then wore my skirt back to front. The embarrassment

This is the exact reason why I have and always have an entire change of clothes in my car. Got caught out once. Never again.

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago whilst teaching 30 teenagers. I couldn't even leave the room never mind nip home. The toilet at work is too far from my classroom even to dash there quickly between lessons (it is in a separate building and up 2 flights of stairs) so I had to message a colleague who I knew had a free lesson and ask her to cover for me for 5 mins. I still felt massively self- conscious leaving the classroom with my handbag mid-season but if any of the kids noticed they didn't mention it.

Some of those stories have really made me laugh!
Sorry that I ran and didn’t come back, I stayed seated at my desk right through until half six and it was awful! I then waited until most people had left and did a waffle straight into my sisters car which was waiting outside to pick me up. Think I got away with it. Definitely should’ve just said something to my manager, he’s a babe and would’ve been fine with me dashing off early. I just was almost frozen with embarrassment.
Think I’ll be carrying around a spare of leggings or something I can easily keep in my handbag from now on!
