I smell....weird

Last winter I was in a very stressful job and a few times I noticed a smell from my armpits at the end of each day . Not BO but not a nice odour, I assumed it was stress and my antiperspirant failing.

I moved jobs, got a new anti perspirant and haven’t noticed it since last November. Today after work (wfh) I noticed it again. It’s not like the
Onion smell of BO but it’s not nice at all. I showered this morning with antibacterial soap (I am fastidious about washing under my arms when I shower), I used sure anti perspirant and everything I wore was clean and fresh. Just gone upstairs to change my top, as I spilled coffee on the one I had on, I can smell this same smell from myself. It goes if I wash again but what’s weird is the timing, some sort of November Whiff?!

@MrsMoastyToasty it’s definitely not my clothes and isn’t a damp musty smell.

@LittleOverwhelmed I wear mostly cotton but it’s not for my clothes.

@Pamelaandthepinecones not quite but it’s weird that it happened last year and now a year later, I put it down to stress but life is really different this year. It’s not pleasant but not BO.

@Ironfloor269 staved as usual.

I get this in winter. I find using a face scrub under my armpits really helps it go away.

@LittleOverwhelmed ah I see. I wear mostly cotton as I hate nylon tops.

@bluepetervag it is absent after I shower but seems to appear at the end of the day. So a few people get it in winter? Very odd.

It is strange. Maybe diet changes. When it comes back I will try eating salads for a week to see if that helps.

I haven’t changed my diet as it’s not get really cold yet but maybe eating lighter might help.

Is it a sharp vinegary type smell? If so get tested for diabetes, I always smell bad when my blood sugars go out of whack.

Askinvillarblues · 26/11/2020 02:47

Are you wearing a coat that you wouldn’t normally wear? Could be the lining from that, especially if you are wearing sleeveless tops.

BashfulClam · 26/11/2020 08:55

@Gingerkittykat no it’s not sharp

@askinvillarblues I have with a coat for about a week. I nipped to the shops after I smelt it but I used the car so just threw a jumper on when I changed top.
