I’m sure plenty of people will tell you there’s no such thing, but FWIW I find L’Or or Alta Rica the best.

flatpack1 · 25/11/2020 08:44

Yes L'Or

MotherTruckerr · 25/11/2020 08:45

Watching this because I need to cut back on the number of cups of coffee I drink but I can't find an alternative I like.

For me, tea is out, fruit teas are okay but what I really want I the afternoon is a nice strong black coffee...until 2am when I'm wired and can't sleep!

M&S decaf is lovely.

Roselilly36 · 25/11/2020 09:06

Clipper Super Organic instant de caf. I buy it from Waitrose. Usually £4, but I think it’s on offer at about £3.50.

peridito · 25/11/2020 09:07

@MotherTruckerr same quest here .

What should I rule out ? What have you given a thumbs down ?

Nescafé azera Americano decaf is good

JontyDoggle37 · 25/11/2020 09:09

Kenco- just the smooth one.

fussychica · 25/11/2020 09:16

Clipper, hands down.

jabice · 25/11/2020 09:18

Have you got a Nespresso machine? Or that sort of thing?

I've tried so many instant decaf coffee's and I cannot stand them. They just don't hit the spot for me.

I buy the pods either from Nespresso direct, Aldi ones are really nice, or M&S ones.

If it's for an instant decaf coffee, then I can't help😂.

ShakeitDown · 25/11/2020 09:40

Kenco.

Hazelnutlatteplease · 25/11/2020 09:45

Another vote for Nescafé azera Americano. Lovely

iamme21 · 25/11/2020 09:54

Dowe Egbert for me,

FrightClub · 25/11/2020 09:58

Douwe Egbert for me too. The coffee's palatable and the jar's nice.

ODFOx · 25/11/2020 10:09

Kenco millicano Americana. It is very similar to the caffeine one which I have come to prefer to real coffee while wfh.

Sparticle · 25/11/2020 10:16

I just drink whatever is on offer! Saying that, I do gravitate to Kenco. I'm just about to run out so I've got some of the Nescafe Azera powder stuff (which was on offer) but I'm nervous that it's going to be grim so I'm glad to see others on here do like it.

ErrolTheDragon · 25/11/2020 10:21

what I really want I the afternoon is a nice strong black coffee.

If you want 'nice strong' decaf coffee, decent ground Swiss water processed and an Aeropress is nearly as quick as instant, and so much better.

peridito · 25/11/2020 10:22

Instant I'm afraid . So far we have

L'or x 2

Kenco x 5

Nescafe azera Americano x 2

Clipper x 2

Douwe Egbert x 2

M&S x 1

any views on which is best for someone drinking black coffee?

This is quite an interesting article, it's UK and from August so not too out of date: www.dailyespresso.co.uk/best-decaf-coffee/
