Its not a theme tune, no, although the show of the same name has a very famous theme tune. It's a popular 80s soul band. School disco favourite in my day.

I feel that the missing word there should be 'friends ' as it scans into the lyrics you've posted and fits with a TV show with a famous theme tune . I can't get a tune to the lyrics though . Even though the words look familiar .
