I say adjustable bed you say....

We need a new bed. Currently have divan. DP hates it and is desperate for a headboard when he is sitting up reading/drinking coffee.

Trouble is there is only 50cm at the end of the bed as it is, a headboard will consume around 20cm of that. We've found one that's only 9cm buts is 400 pounds! (Loaf).

DP thinks an adjustable bed is the solution but I worry they are for all old ppl/ugly.

Anyone got one? Any magic solutions?

Where on earth are you finding 20cm deep headboards? I have an adjustable bed due to disability it's ugly but a necessity for me however mine is longer than an average bed and many I looked at were because they have to accommodate the bend. So although it states double and is as wide as a double it is longer.
