Reusable pads

Do any of you ladies use reusable sanitary pads? What do you think of them? Are they comfortable/absorbent? I am considering making the switch as lately disposable pads have been making me very itchy and uncomfortable. My DD is 13 and we have been chatting about reusable sanitary pads and she'd be interested when her periods start. So I was thinking we could start this journey together. Any recommendations of brands would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Use them and love them!
(as well as a mooncup and bamboo pants)

I bought cheap ones from ebay to try different sizes, styles etc, and have stuck with them rather than 'upgrading'.

Recently had to use some old none resuable pads to keep an eye on some early pregnancy spotting (all my reusables are black fleece, which is normally very practical) and they felt so plasticy and uncomfortable.
