As I’m currently furloughed I’ve been watching re runs of come dine with me... Always makes me think what I would cook if I was ever on it, what would you cook?
Mine would be
Starter - salt and chilli prawns with Some sort of salad
Main - belly of pork, chorizo and bean casserole with garlic ciabatta
Desert - red velvet cheesecake

Smoked mackerel pate with proper Melba toast (vegetarian version would be a Boursin mousse)

Wild boar in red wine (with a little chili and very dark chocolate in the sauce), celeriac and potato puree, tender-stem broccoli
Vegetarian version, if required, would be mushrooms instead of wild boar

Black Forest Pavlova

I always think though on CDWM that you always get people who don't like seafood, don't like fish, or stuff on the bone etc etc.

You'd have to make the choice of doing what you liked and doing what you consider "safe" Grin.

Is this a nice thread or can we be bitchy and moan if we dont like a dish like they do on the show? Or if it sounds like an easy dish, also moan? Grin shall we give ratings?

I'm a crappy cook so I'd probably get someone to cook us:

Starter: garlic and lemon king prawns and mini salmon fish cakes
Main: chicken roulade
Sides: dolphin potatoes, broccoli
Dessert: warm almond lemon cake with cream

Even if you made a chocolate cake someone will say: mehh, don't really like chocolate.

Ooh I think I’d got for an Indian mixed grill starter with lots of different chutneys. So homemade chicken tikka, sheesh kebab and marinated lamb chops. Homemade mango chutney, raita and onion and tomato relish.

Then I’ll probably do butter chicken with saag paneer as a side dish, pilau rice, salad and homemade naan in my tandoor.

For dessert I’d make my key lime cheesecake.

Not fancy at all but bloody delicious and it’s definitely one of my most requested menu choices! In fact, my brother insists on me doing this exact menu every time he comes.

Alcoholic drink of your choice for starter.
Takeaway for mains.
Alcoholic drink for desert.
