Looking for another box set to watch.

Enjoyed and watched The Wire, Gangs of London, the Bridge.

Like cop/thriller/mystery.

Seen a million of box sets but trying to find something I haven't seen.

I'm loving The Walking Dead but not my partners cup of tea.

Oh yes and definitely Line of Duty

The Fall is excellent.

If you liked the Bridge then the Fall is definitely worth a watch.

I watched The Fall the first time round (years ago) and triednit again last week. I found it so slow and dull and gave up. Jamie Dornan wasn't half as nice as I remembered him either!

I really loved Southland, it was one of my favourite ever American police dramas.

Don’t fret pet....it’s on channel four catch up, have to tolerate the ad breaks but well worth it, and as pp said Justified is fantastic,with Walton Goggins from the Shield (justified is on Amazon )

7 seconds is the only series that has got near to scratching my Wire itch. I'm always v surprised noone has ever heard of it. 2018 police/crime drama. Set in New Jersey. Lots of politics and corruption after police kill a black teenager. Won lots of awards.

Anyone watch any of the Walter Presents series? They are all/mostly subtitled but are excellent. We are currently watching a French one called Murder by the Lake

I have not heard of that - just looked it up on IMDb and it indeed does look good. I’m wondering how to get hold of that....it’s strange sometimes really good series get overlooked/not marketed very well - or given a very Late time slot - Southland being a prime example. Thank you for the recommendation

Definitely The Shield.

The only thing that I struggle with from The Shield is the cat scene - It was unnecessary and cruel and it really bothered me and I will never forget how upsetting it was to me 😪

Sons of Anarchy- my all time fave - "Jackie boy"
Mayans MC is on bbc i player. Not as good as Sons of Anarchy but has its moments.

I think it was by the people who did 'the wire', before the did 'the wire'.
Supposed to be very good.

Also recommend The Sheild, it takes a while to get going but really good. I also liked the American version of The Killing.

Ok obviously not a boxset but I loved the sopranos and had never thought to watch The Godfather!! Amazing and not what I thought it’d be

It's more bleak but Homicide Life in the Street is really good. It's almost like a prequel as it's set in Baltimore by the same writer.
