TOWIE star given private jet holiday by man she’s never meet

I’m not one for reality shows/trash but this single mother has a show about her life. Her ex is in prison for throwing acid in a night club. Interesting trashy life, just what our young female population should have an option of watching Confused

Anyway the latest news is that she has a mystery man who she’s never meet and he’s sent her to Cannes for her birthday - private jet.

many of these reality / insta girls do get private jets sent over for them and at the destination they met the man, and his not doing it out of the goodness of his heart, they are expectations involved usually with big money but the girls are expected to do some very specific things for it....

So what's the difference between this and sex work/prostitution? They know they're expected to have sex and willing (in most cases it seems) to trade that for either money or luxury goods.

They don't seem to refer to it as that though but "dating".

And many women are reported to find it hard to leave prostitution/sex work because they can't replace the level of income another way. That seems reflected in this situation too.

Google Dubai Porta-potties. it makes sad reading. Realistically there is no way most young or youngish reality stars can afford their lifestyles without a regular booking trip in a private jet or yacht.

She also didn’t seem to follow covid rules to well and really manipulated the rule of 6 by having a party and the other 5 kept swapping so she could see everyone- so if she had it she would have given it to soooooo many people.

Why is the TOWIE start showing it off for her reality show? Even if she’s not showing (obviously) her end of the bargain why show any of it when people will twig..?

Aside from the general dubiousness of it all. I don't think its fair to criticise her for what her ex did - she isnt responsible for him throwing acid in a club, he is. Other than that though I agree its all very bleurgh.

Whilst I don’t judge her for what her ex did she has made a “career” off it- she was only offered a show because of what he did- she’s harped on about being a single parent consistently, despite tbh her mum doing more for her than most husbands do.

Oh absolutely. I am not saying she is a great role model. I do think its fairly horrifying that this sort of instagram dream is being fed to younger women/girls - the idea that you can be so pretty that you get money just for posting pictures of yourself pulling duckface would have been appealing to younger me. Younger me would also have found the idea of some rich unknown benefactor paying for me to fly on a jet to Paris because he was so overawed (in a simple, innocent way) by me, incredibly romantic. The reality is much darker. Its not great that she's peddling that shit.
However, I dont think that you can tell who has the MOST power in a scenario by looking at who is in the public eye (whether that may be instagram or a reality TV show). The people making the most from that show will not be her, but some (probably overweight, balding) male TV executive somewhere. That doesnt make her a victim of course.

whats worse - being paid 1000s of pounds to let someone shit on you, or being the sort of person who pays 1000s of pounds to shit on someone else. Not saying either person is great in that scenario but one person definately seems worse to me. (I am also NOT suggesting the woman with the TV show is involved in that. Its just that other posters mentioned the Dubai porta-potty thing).
