Anyone up to much? The rain has stopped at last & we have blue skies! Will probably have to bring the bunnies in later as no doubt there will be fireworks going off. Hate them! DD11 & I had a nice little trip into town. She actually managed to save some pocket money & bought some nice Bluetooth headphones. She’s popped round to a friend’s & I’m enjoying a cheese toastie with coleslaw. Lots of housework & sorting to do. We’re not really bothering with Halloween. Having giant hotdogs & Heinz tomato soup for tea. Haven’t even got a pumpkin but DD’s really not bothered now there’s no trick or treating.

I had a lie in till 9:30 whilst DH brought DS (3) downstairs and got him breakfast. We gave the house a quick tidy. DH is now at work and me and DS are staying warm under a duvet watching monsters inc. we'll watch monster university later. Apart from cooking tea I'm not doing anything else today.

Me and DH tested positive so isolating. Watched The Secret Garden and debating on our next film to watch after BoJo's announcement.
It's like being off school with chickenpox. No choice but to veg out.

My parents came to take DD out for lunch and a walk earlier, so DP and I did a bit of cleaning, watched a horror movie and had a little nap on the sofa. Now she’s back and playing happily with her duplo, we’ve got a pumpkin to decorate and DP is going to cook us a roast tonight.

DH is peeling the spuds for dinner (roast lamb) and feeling sorry for himself because his flu jab yesterday produced some symptoms today, so he will return to the sofa and fireside shortly.
I'm making apple cake and plan to watch the broadcast in 30 minutes, then more laundry, general sorting and later, will zoom with family.
Oh yes, and the pumpkin, if I get round to it. No guising/trick or treating in the village this year, instead the children will complete a tick list of the locations and trade them in for sweets.

DH has been working all day recording and editing lectures. Every Saturday is like this since the start of term. I tried to go to Waitrose but got my timing wrong and couldn't bear the queue in the rain so came home and made a vat of pumpkin soup. Called my mum.

Since then I have spent a couple of hours writing. DD is at her Dad's and messaging me to ask for more screen time on her phone.

I am upstairs waiting for Boris to start his conference. Dh and DC are downstairs making homemade pizzas and watching the new Witches film.
Had a little hallowe'en party with musical statues, treasure hunt and bobbing apples. Interesting with there being just 4 of us.
Been for a long walk and called to see nasty pils which has caused dh to feel a bit down:(
Got steak for tea for me and dh for later when we watch strictly later!

DS has decided to make himself chips and chicken.
DD is watching sth - she just got her online schedule for her 3rd uni semester. She got into all the modules she wanted and enjoys her last days without work.
DH is on a work zoom call
and I am doing nothing much at the moment - with chocolate.

The girls have scattered to the four winds, the husband has retreated to the kitchen, the cat has buggered off to bed, and I'm spitting tacks at the TV.

DS is in his perma state. Xbox.
DH is, er, on the Xbox!

I realise that makes it sound like I live with 2 Neanderthals! DH and I went out for tea and cake earlier, DH has been pottering with chores and I have been snuggled up with a book all afternoon.
