My child is getting married today :)

Despite all the stress, and a guest list going from 80 to 10... we are in Scotland, where my lovely girl will marry her lovely partner surrounded by 3 dogs, two goats, a handful of ducks and chickens and a few humans in the garden of her fiancee's family home! The weather is dire, and the ring bearer is likely to disappear after the chickens
The best man (DS1) is stuck on the other side of the world but will be live feed and has sent his recording of their son (he's a singer) and despite everything... it going to be a wonderful day!

Up yours Covid! Here's to making the best of things and seeing two people make their promises to each other which is all that really matters... :)

Congratulations! It sounds just perfect!

Well it WAS perfect! The ring bearer behaved but the bridesmaid did chase the ducks, geese and the goats

Amazingly the weather stayed dry, and after all the stress of not knowing if we could go ahead for months on end, having a tiny wedding was so relaxed, so intimate and fun..perfect! They are just so happy, the vows included him promising to tidy up his shoes, and her appreciating his guitar playing :) but they were also very moving.

I can reccomend a small wedding!

DD is beautiful. I'm not sure how she's got so grown up though!! It doesn't seem so long ago she was busy being a young teenager!

The live feed worked (phone tied to a hay bale!) so DS1 and Jess were able to join in from Australia, and his recorded song played as she came down the 'isle'. Next year we will have a big party (the celebrant is coming to 'renew' for that) and I really hope we will all be together again!

We had 9 guests when we got married (almost) 25 yrs ago and it was amazing; so intimate and special. 🙂
