I was today years old when I found out blah blah blah

You go girl!

Out for a cheeky

Wow. Just wow.

That would look great with a bold red lip and a grey trouser.

There are loads of these ridiculous statements that piss me off. No it doesn't matter and yes I have bigger things to worry about, yes it's been done before but let's have a moan anyway. 😁

Be kind! Urgh. It's so patronising and simpering.

Now I sound like a horrible person and I'm not!
I do always try to be kind, I don't need telling and people who are not kind aren't going to change just because some random person on Facebook tells them to. I've seen so many mean comments on Facebook and the writer has "be kind" on their profile picture Hmm

It's everywhere. I was looking for some new tops for my dd and every other one had "be kind" bee kind 🐝 or whatever Angry

The other one is source
"my DH has gone to Tesco to source the ingredients for tonight's meal"

Everything happens for a reason.

No it bloody doesn’t.

DoTheNextRightThing · 18/10/2020 12:52

"Hubby"

Stonerosie67 · 18/10/2020 12:56

My little family....absolutely vile, and usually used as an excuse to leave someone (usually the mil!) out of a celebration

A sons a son till he finds a wife, a daughters a daughter all her life....I can feel the rage building as I type that! As a mother of an only son I find I have to sit on my hands as I write that in case I spring forward and flatten the speaker!!!

Snugglepumpkin · 18/10/2020 12:56

'But will it all matter in a hundred years?'
No, it won't but that doesn't mean it doesn't matter right bloody now.

Sleepingdogs12 · 18/10/2020 12:57

Stabby

Iftheclouds · 18/10/2020 12:58

The nature of the beast

hollyandkit · 18/10/2020 12:58

'This too shall pass' is much overused, although I saw an addition to it recently 'it might pass like a kidney stone but it will pass' which I liked!

MrsBudd · 18/10/2020 12:59

Giving me life

FTMF30 · 18/10/2020 12:59

"literally" when nothing literal happened. e.g. "I literally died".

JJESQ · 18/10/2020 13:01

Sets my teeth on edge / makes my teeth itch

“It is what it is”

WHAT IS IT?!?!

😤

veeboo · 18/10/2020 13:09

Out/eating/chilling etc "with this one" referring to a partner

Not trying to teach you to suck eggs. No that is not the phrase and you are using it incorrectly

nosswith · 18/10/2020 13:13

Not sayings but over-use of some words.

Literally
Like
Big
Little

to give four examples

OrtamLeevz · 18/10/2020 13:13

"I hear what you say..." - You know full well that what they really mean is that they aren't interested in your opinion and will ignore it.

"Little man" - just ugh.

Oneearringlost · 18/10/2020 13:14

"To be fair", used in totally the wrong context. "I went to the shop, to be fair".
That's a fact, there's nothing to be fair about.

ohidoliketobe · 18/10/2020 13:15

When someone describes another as the type of person who "calls a spade a spade" = they're rude, thoughtless and blunt, and use that expression to excuse their behaviour.
Yes, sometimes the truth is best, but at times understand having an ounce of emotional intelligence and a softer approach is required.

beautifulmonument · 18/10/2020 13:15

"Brains trust"

M0mmyneedswine · 18/10/2020 13:16

'Its always in the last place you look'
Anything with hubby in the sentence

thistimelastweek · 18/10/2020 13:21

'Assume makes an ass of u and me.'
And u have just made me feel violent.

FippertyGibbett · 18/10/2020 13:23

"I couldn't get worked up about this"
I just hate that phrase and see it so often on here.
