Three days in north Yorkshire but we are potentially going to move to tier 3 still may go though

WinWinnieTheWay · 16/10/2020 21:56

Films, reading, dog walks, pumpkin carving.

VillageFete · 16/10/2020 22:45

Tier 3 here....

Have pumpkin picking on a farm with other activities going on, on actual Halloween, followed by the fake trick or treating everyone is talking about on my social media (Walk around in your own household group 🙄 looking for decorated houses/pumpkins lit in windows, and for every one you see you put sweets in your kid’s bucket)

The half term week will include Halloween movies, woodland walks and baking.

Definitely different for us this year.

I'm working 3 days of it, DH is off the whole week. On his days it will be non stop screen time (him included Hmm). On the days I am home, I have booked pottery painting, they have a dentist appointment, and we are going to a caravan park for a few days.

Bugger all.

We've never bothered with Halloween.

And we live in a Welsh county already under restrictions so no chance
to visit our DD in uni now in England as we're not allowed to leave our home county.

Also, dd2 is now self isolating from today for 2 weeks due to a case in her year at school, so she's not allowed out until mid week either.

Screwed.

Booked a week away in a country cottage. Can’t wait.

GiveMeAllTheGin8 · 16/10/2020 23:08

Pumpkin farm, seeing cousins, play dates , trick or treating and a big fancy dress party 🥳

Oh wait that was last year, so it will be more crafts , more baking and more walks Confused

In Ireland, no one allowed visit another household and anything fun gone Gin

Booked a cottage at the beginning of the year. Don't know whether to get the suitcase out or not. Expecting Boris to cancel it at the very last minute.

Have booked a holiday cottage in Suffolk for half the week. Keeping everything crossed we can go. Museum trip booked. Was also planning a play date but we’ve moved to tier 2, so that will now have to happen outdoors I guess.

Lulu1919 · 17/10/2020 07:54

Taking our touring van into the next county for a week ..two adults (adult only site !!!)
I'm a teacher

Sheknowsaboutme · 17/10/2020 08:05

Ive taken the week off work. Painting the living room, that will take 2 days.

Then im going to walk mountains. Living in wales I haven’t been able to walk Snowdon over the summer due to too many people here. So im going to go up one night and see the sunrise seeing the border is closed.

My 12 yr old will play with friends. Other older 2? No idea!

BathPearlsAndABritneyCD · 17/10/2020 08:24

We’re moving house on the Friday! So getting ready for that, touching up paint, taking poles down and washing curtains, PACKING (argh), tidying the garden up....one DC will be on half term, the other will still be at nursery.

There’s a local pumpkin event I may try book but I always miss out on tickets for things like that so it probably won’t happen!

ihearttc · 17/10/2020 08:31

I’m a TA so the first couple of days will mostly involve lots of sleeping as I’m totally exhausted after this half term.
We’ve got a dentist appointment, picking up a new car, trip to the seaside, a walk in a country park, haircuts, football, baking and a ton of revision for the 15 year old and a ton of Fortnite for the 9 year old.

We usually go on holiday at least twice a year but obviously haven’t been at all this year, I’d normally be complaining but my best friend lost her son (the same age as my older son-they were friends) 2 weeks ago so quite honestly staying close to home with my boys around me isn’t bothering me at the moment.
