How painful is a root canal?

Im due to have a root canal next week which I have been told will take 90 minutes. Is it painful after the treatment? Im worried about been in a lot of pain after.

The worst thing was having to keep your gob open for ages. The jaw aches afterwards.

Get some cocodamol - if you're okay to take this - for once the anaesthetic wears off as the pain can kick in a bit.

Other than that, it's just like a regular filling apart from you can feel them poking a bit deeper down and it takes longer. Once the anaesthetic is in you're nicely numbed up.
