Urgent! Parent breaking covid rules

Advice needed please
I've been made aware that my daughters father had a get together with his parents, girlfriend, her 2 kids and my daughter at the weekend. This means there were 7 of them in the house.
I've emailed him to make him aware that I know but I know he will either ignore it or make up some lies/excuse
He lives with his parents and girlfriend stayed the weekend with her 2 children

Big concern for us because my husband and I both work in care and also I care for an elderly relative at the moment.
Surely he's broken the law.
Am I overreacting??
Do I stop contact?
Bare in mind there is a court order in place!
Has anybody else had to deal with this?

If he is in a support bubble with his girlfriend, then he hasn’t broken any laws. The rule of six doesn’t apply if your household has more than that, and on occasions his has seven and that’s fine.

Why is it urgent? Are you wanting to 'report' him before next shift?

DameMargaretofChalfont · 12/10/2020 17:41

"URGENT"
OP - this is a MASSIVE overreaction.

Technically it's against the law but really not worth getting too upset about!!!

There's far worse happening out there than an extended family meeting up!!!

What would be urgent about there being 7 people?

OverTheRainbow88 · 12/10/2020 17:44

In England the 6 includes kids.

However, meeting 7 instead of 6 is hardly any riskier than 6. 6 is a random number chosen by Boris and his merry men.! I wouldn’t rock the boat, it’s not like he had a party for 20!

Call the army!

Chill out.

Are they not a buble? If he lives with his parents and gf lives with her children only then they could and probably are in a bubble in which case the rule if 6 doesn't apply.

I think you are looking for problems.
