Do you bathe children with a cold?

Hello

My 5 year old is a bit snotty and pale, bunged up.

Should I be bathing him? He probably could do with it, but would it make him feel worse? Or make his cold worse?

Heard conflicting things

Thank you !

I might not wash hair if they are not in a fit state for it.

Of course you should bath him. The warm steam will ease congestion and a gentle bath and cuddle dry with relax him for a good sleep.

I’ve always bathed mine when they had colds but I have to ask, how hot are you running kids baths for there to be steam?! When mine were little, their baths were nice and warm but not hot and steamy like I have mine!!
If there’s steam, that’s a hot bath, I suppose mine just never had hot baths, just warm 🤷🏽‍♀️
