Daughter tall for her age!

Just joined for some advice - my daughter who is 3 is really tall for her age. At nursery she is twice the height of anyone else!! Anyone else with tall kids? and do they plateau at any point!

I was always the tallest in my class, from nursery to primary school. I stopped growing at 12. The majority caught up and over took me in height! I'm now a very average 5ft 5

My just turned 3 year old is super tall and looks the height of a typical 6 year old. DH is 6’7 so he’s just always going to be a tall boy I think.

What's so concerning about her being tall? I'm 6' and my daughter is 6'1. It's wonderful begin tall!

My 10 year old wears age 13-14 clothes and is over 5 feet. He's always been tall.

Even with every other child being below average, if she is genuinely twice their height it will be picked up at the two year review and tests arranged to look into why. If she is within the centile chart, then it’s fine and she’s just growing normally.

My eldest (10) has been the joint tallest since nursery. She's March born so mid year age wise. No sign of her stopping yet, she's 5" 6' now, only half an inch shorter than me. Ridiculously hard to buy clothes for her as her waist is only around the size of age 8-9 clothes. She was an iugr baby, 5lb 1oz at birth, just under the first centile in utero. Hit 6 months & just started growing! Since her first height check at 1 she's always been above the 99th for height & the 25th for weight.

Should say my 'shortest' dc is following the 90th for height so is still taller than a lot of her peers. Dh comes from a very tall family & mine aren't short either. The 3 boys are all on or around the 95th. Dc1 never seems to stop growing though whereas the other 4 all have phases where they go up, then possibly out, then stop for a bit
