Today's moan: overly arty instagram style photos when selling online

If you're selling a pair of second hand boots, do you really need to put a bunch of flowers in them to attract my attention? Just take a decent photo in the first place and stop trying to distract people with arty stuff. I find it really irritating.

Just me then?

Just me then. Fine.

I can't be the only person who thinks so!

It would annoy me too
A good photograph is enough. I do prefer to see feet in shoes and boots. I hate shops just showing a picture without them being worn

Not just you. Air BnB is afflicted by the same curse. I don’t need to see a close up of a pair of wine glasses on a counter, a close up of folded towels in the bathroom, or a shot of whatever tat is decorating the bookshelf (tastefully or otherwise).

Just show me the bed, kitchen, sofa and bathroom so I can decide if it will be comfortable or not!!

It's starting on rightmove too...looking at a house today and it had one artistically framed (and possibly filtered) photo just of a piano (which presumably the current owners will be taking with them so is of absolutely no use to me as a prospective buyer, and then a second of a zoomed in, soft filtered apple from the outside apple tree. The tree itself was clearly shown in several of the garden trees so no idea why a close up of an apple was supposed to do....I know what an apple is!

Yet no photos of the boiler, utility room or something that might have been vaguely useful!

Yes houses for sale details with close ups of door handles, vases of flowers , chairs, I have seen an apple too etc but never any decent pictures of gardens ,sometimes whole rooms missing. Frustrating.
