postpals.co.uk hope link works, is a volunteer charity that is run for youngsters and their families / carers living with long term / life threatening health conditions.
the idea is that anyone can write to a child /children through a c/o address and then it is forwarded on to the child. many of these dc are bed bound or are regular visitors /inpatients to hospital.they go through more than most of us can imagine. by sending a cheerful card or a letter or even a small gift can really help cheer them up.
on the page there is a list of the children currently on the scheme and an update from a parent / carer of the child's life story, treatment etc.
there is also a 'tlc' page which lists children that are very poorly and need the extra tlc.
i've started writing to a couple of the children it's a good feeling to hopefully give someone else a small ray of sunshine.
all it costs is the price of a stamp.

I’d never heard of this charity before but it’s a lovely idea and I’ll definitely join in.
