5 year old wants "toy water" for xmas please..!?

My 5 year old is asking for toy water for Xmas, can anyone help me find something that might work please cos I'm stumped!

I don't think it's a real toy he's seen, I think he's invented it in his head. Gestures and garbled descriptions seem to involve something about 8 inches in size, maybe like a river made of resin like in model railway scenery?

I have no idea what he wants to DO with it, it might be nice if it moved or lit up or turned a water wheel or something actually interesting.

I'd like to get him a lava lamp but they don't look anything like the kind of stream he's describing.

As it's only October, I'd not mention it again and then late Nov ask what he'd like for Christmas. Fingers crossed toy water will be forgotten!

Those magnetic bead things thay move a bit like water?
Watch whatever commercial TV channel he watches for an hour or so :)

Would magic sand do the job? Maybe not quite. Was just thinking it feels wet-ish and can shape it into scenes.

There's a type of water toy made from sodium alginate where you can make little shapes out of coloured gel. It's quite popular on Youtube so maybe he saw it there?

I guarantee I'd end up trying to figure out "toy water" with only a few weeks left and the shops running out of things, this child will not forget
