Butter and jam. Or peanut butter and jam.

ReeseWitherfork · 28/09/2020 21:08

Ducking love a crumpet. Marmite vs butter never causes me anything but stress.

I’m going to say butter if you’ve got it to hand or marmite if only Marge.

Lemonylemony · 28/09/2020 21:08

It’s against the law to put anything other than proper butter on a crumpet

Palavah · 28/09/2020 21:09

Butter and cheddar. Marmite too if you love it.

Sparklfairy · 28/09/2020 21:09

My aunt used to top with cheese and put under the grill, but imo nothing beats loads of butter on crumpets!

Cavagirl · 28/09/2020 21:10

Butter

If you're feel naughty - butter, cheddar & under the grill (ham and cheddar if you're feeling extra naughty)

Peanut butter on crumpet reserved for hangover cure and other special occasions only

Just butter. And burn them slightly. Mmmmmmmmmmm

frustrationcentral · 28/09/2020 21:10

Proper salted butter. It's the only way imo

BigMamaFratelli · 28/09/2020 21:11

Butter and either maple syrup or honey. LushGrin

FrogFairy · 28/09/2020 21:11

Butter and golden syrup.

jezmay · 28/09/2020 21:11

Lit pal or country life followed by a slither of strawberry jam

PaulinePetrovaPosey · 28/09/2020 21:12

Cheese and marmite, then butter and jam for pudding.

SospanFrangipan · 28/09/2020 21:12

Butter and Nutella 😋

MissConductUS · 28/09/2020 21:12

Butter and a bit of cherry preserves if you have them. Strawberry jam is good too.

peonyblossom · 28/09/2020 21:12

Just lots of butter, and a cup of strong tea to have with it! Mmmmmm

PontiacBandit · 28/09/2020 21:12

Slightly charred and lots of butter, maybe a smidge of marmite.
