I bought a Vax one 2 years ago, for £199 on offer as I would of course do them every few months to keep everything sweet, and live in an amazingly clean house.

Ive used it once on a small patch of spilt coffee

I got rid of all my downstairs carpets after seeing the crap that came out of mine. 🤮🤢

I've got a karcher hard floor cleaner.
So I tried it on the carpet.... even I winced at the sludge and I know I never vacuum.

We don't wear shoes indoors and even that small patch I did was black, I hoover every couple of days with a Shark Liftaway, 1 adult, 1 child, 1 cat, no shoes and the hoover is full of crap

Is it worth buying your own? I’m never sure they’d be as good as a professional, & I don’t want to live with damp carpets.

It was 25 quid rental for 24 hours and 15 quid for the solution. I cleaned the mattress too and 2 rugs where the dog lies they were black. I still have half the solution left.

The lift away just means the collection/ suction bit lifts off from the trolley base. So it's lighter/ can use it easier on stairs ect.

I have literally just got a vax carpet cleaner! Haven't used it yet as been too busy but with a puppy and an older dog I think I will get good use out of it!

Oh @compulsiveliar2019, you saying about the stairs has reminded me why I bought the Vax shampooer, it has an attatchment to shampoo the stairs, and car seats
