Why are you up?

I’ve stayed up with hubby as he watches the basketball which is on at stupid times being in USA. I’m 37.5 weeks pregnant so trying to snap up all spare time with him possible!
But I’ve noticed mumsnet is active even now... what are you up to? Why are you awake? Xxx

Yes he is!! He is like a cantankerous old man, if he feels he hasn't been fed enough during the day he will literally jump up and place a paw ever so gently on my head to wake me up. Even if I shoo him away he will keep doing it. I need to schedule the food times better.

A 12 hour night shift. Ugh.

I'm awake because I had to put our rescue dog to sleep last night. He was so cute and sweet but unfortunately 12 years of neglect and disgusting treatment from his previous owners made all our attempts futile but he had a lovely 2 weeks before he passed away, he had a bed for the first time in his life and he slept in front of a fire. But I just wish I could have done more

I’m up because.... everyone is on my side of the planet!

Even during a hard lockdown, I try to keep standards up and not be in bed at midday!

I’ve been woken up by a drunk neighbour banging on a window and screaming, so I’ve just called the police.

Up because it’s my cat’s last night. She has cancer and is being put to sleep tomorrow. I didn’t want her to be alone. She’s been on sedatives for a day now so is cuddly and wobbly on her feet. She looks relaxed for the first time in days. Going to try for a few hours snuggle and sleep on the sofa with her now.

Friend died in an accident.
Dealing by getting off my face.
Need to go to bed before the kids get up.

DD2 was crying at 4am because she dreamt the cat was in her room (he was downstairs on the sofa).

DP is on a 2 week pathway (not entirely sure what this is), became unwell on Monday evening involving visits to A and E, Drs, blood tests.
I just cannae sleep.

There's something about being able to have a lie in on a Saturday morning that makes my brain wake me up at 5am!

Because I woke up yesterday (Friday) feeling like shit, I couldnt even turn over in bed without the room spinning. So I kicked DS2 out the door for school and then slept all day. Now I'm not tired

It's morning and I'm normally awake at this time.

I'm just setting up the virtual café, irl I'm about to get a coffee now the cat has finished her morning snuggle and I have both arms back.
