I can feel a baby kicking! Not pregnant

This is so strange. I’m not pregnant. I’m on contraception, regular periods etc but the last few weeks I can feel what can only be described as a baby kicking. Started out small, random ones I put down to gas but tonight it feels kind of like when you’re pregnant and the baby has hiccups, that constant up and down and I can even feel it with my hand when I push deep.

Has anyone had this And can explain what on Earth this could be??? DH keeps saying I’m going to birth an alien.

Have you taken a test?

GunsAndShips · 24/09/2020 21:59

There have been so many of these threads recently!

One baby iirc, lots of wind and some bridge dwellers.

Sarahlou63 · 24/09/2020 21:59

Trolls

Laiste · 24/09/2020 22:01

Have you taken a test? Just to be certain sure?

I agree that once you know what it's like to have a baby inside you you realise that lots of non pregnant windy feelings are very similar to how a baby feels moving and kicking ect. But - not regular the hic-upy kick .... never had that when not preg.

Eskers · 24/09/2020 22:01

Contraception isn’t foolproof. Take a test.

Laiste · 24/09/2020 22:02

Take another test, and if it's neg have a word with your GP OP.

It could be a nerve twitching in there?

Sweetchillichicken · 24/09/2020 22:02

I get this with my IBS. A trip to the gp might be in order

willowmelangell · 24/09/2020 22:03

Have you had sex in the last 4 months?
Better get yourself a home test.
Mother Nature is very determined...

This.

Were there any further posts from the one which turned out to be a baby? Child should be about seven weeks by now!

Ninjastomach · 24/09/2020 22:05

I surely can’t be pregnant! Negative tests, periods and contraception - id need to be surely 20 weeks atleast to be feeling it like this, surely id notice??

Interesting about the IBS, do you get these movements after a heavy meal? I’ve had a big dinner tonight, but it’s just such a distinctive feeling. It’s stopped now but was going on for quite a bit.

I feel really relieved that there have been other experiences and threads like this. To be pregnant right now would be an absolute disaster, to put it mildly.

What contraception are you on?

Notapheasantplucker · 24/09/2020 22:18

When was the last time you took a test though?

picosandsancerre · 24/09/2020 22:21

tapeworm....

Gertrudetheadelie · 24/09/2020 22:24

I'm impressed at your self control, OP. I'd have been testing like a fiend all the time I had experienced it! Better to take a test though and then go to the doctor if it's negative again. Sometimes the body sends us weird signals to warn us there's something off (and sometimes, according to previous threads anyway, it is a baby!)

Ninjastomach · 24/09/2020 22:35

The Contraceptive patch.
A few weeks ago, I feel there’s no way I could be pregnant. I’ve been pregnant 4 times (2 kids) and my period was late and I knew straight away with all. I was sick from the start and all the way through. I’m one of those people that never believed people ‘didn’t know they were pregnant’ because mine have been so obvious.
I don’t know what’s Making me feel worse, the idea of a baby or a tapeworm. Just lost my job and our house is already too small. Now I’m panicking so much Sad Will pick up a test in the morning, I tested out of a few weeks ago when I first felt it as I had a test in the house. I feel like IBS could be possible as I’ve had some stomach trouble lately.

Are you sure your not. There was a thread on here a few months ago about a women who could feel movement in her stomach and convinced she wasn’t pregnant. Had no signs and still having periods so why would she think she was pregnant
The next day however she posted a pic of a positive pregnancy test. It turned out she was either 5 or 6 months pregnant.
I wonder if anyone remembers that thread and I wonder how she’s doing. I’d guess she’s had her baby by now

Gertrudetheadelie · 24/09/2020 22:40

Whatever it is, it's better to know Smile- try not to panic too much. I know that's easier said than done!

Ninjastomach · 25/09/2020 10:12

Just got another test. Definitely negative. Weirdly I’ve also started bleeding this morning (not due on for 2 weeks so this is odd) not sure if it could be related. I think I might call the Gp but not sure how to describe it all
