Optimum Chip Butty Composition

DP and I have just consumed an obscene amount of carbohydrates while discussing optimum chippy butty composition.

I had thick cut chips, olive oil spread (I know but am vegan and hate butter anyway) salt and BBQ sauce on one slice.

DP went for the altogether more Australian-style wedges, sour cream and sweet chilli.

Bread was soft white sliced bakery bread without a crunchy crust.

Pretty good! There's a definite carb synergy with chip butties where you get disproportionately full up but I still managed two.

If availability isn't a factor, what goes on yours? In an ideal world I feel like I'd have gone for a big fluffy roll.

I had to google this to find out what potatoey goodness I have been deprived of.
There is a Wikipedia article.
I will try this at the weekend.

Barmcake or oven bottom
Small spread of butter - Clover etc is acceptable
Mound of freshly cooked, hot chippy chips
A metric fuck ton of vinegar
Small sprinkle of salt.

M&S soft white rolls, buttered. Proper chip shop ships (with salt and vinegar). Thin smear of salad cream.
