I loved the Morecambe and Wise sketches she did.

That's a shame - and being the same age as my parents, sends a bit of an icy dagger down my spine.

She was easily the best thing in Game of thrones. And she was the favourite Bond Girl of many an ex boyfriend of mine. Also had a great little role in Detectorists, playing her rl daughter's mum and Mackenzie Crook's cliche-defying mother in law.

My stepdad saw her on stage when he was about 12 (so during her Avengers days). He said she was magnificent and very beautiful.

I used to watch repeats of The Avengers is the 80s as a kid, I loved Mrs Peel.

Agree about Game of Thrones, she was an absolute scene stealer. Great actress.

I do think 82 is a good innings though I was still sad to hear of her death.
