Spiders :(

Lying in bed watching Dexter and a massive fucking spider just ran across my arm and into the bed under the duvet.

Cue hysterical screaming I am terrified of them.

Partner laughing because I said they come In pairs and there must be another one close by.

This will give me night terrors for a few nights.

Anyone got any tried and tested methods for keeping them out?

I hate this time of year because they are all coming inside.

Are you going to try hypnotherapy?

I had EMDR for my spider phobia and it actually worked pretty well. I thought nothing would touch it.

VesperLynne are they House Spiders ? I have seen a thatched house I like, and I remember reading elsewhere that it means loads of spiders.

I'm bloody petrified as are my kids - this year we have flea bombed and also put down some food grade substance recommended on here - big bastard yesterday. I'm so on edge this time of year I find it awful and debilitating - also I've had hypnotherapy and it didn't work Sad

@LittleMachine

You need any spray that says it kills cockroaches. Raid, Dethlac.
For some reason, this country loves spiders and people like to bang on about how they kill flies, so they don't put the spider killing on the tin, but they work.

I can kill flies with a rolled up magazine thanks. I don't need any spiders 👋

Yes! Dethlac. But I do have to say I did a spider phobia course at Bristol Zoo years ago and it did the trick. While I don't like them (and kill them), I don't obsess.
