Moments when you think the universe is really having a laugh

I’m not having a great weekend. I’m lonely and I’m beginning to think a relationship will never happen for me. I had a bit of a wallow last night but then this morning I thought I’d go for breakfast and try and perk myself up.

So there I am, sitting pondering my singleness and how to move on with the rest of my life, and a whole flock (herd? gaggle) of nuns walked past me 😭😭😭

It happens to me all the time, OP, the universe having a laugh. In response I try to weep with laughter at the irony of it, rather than just weep.

I would avoid that cafe religiously from now on though.

He just looked at me kind of It feels like every time I find an equilibrium in life someone jumps out with something unexpected and unlikely! Bagpipes at the beach was the perfect metaphor
