Anyone up to much? I’ve had a week off & it was so nice not to have to rush about getting ready for work this morning. DH is off too so we had a cuppa & a figroll in bed then I popped into town to exchange a base layer for DD & did an Asda shop. Didn’t need much but ended up spending over £50. DD has just made up a gluten free brownie mix & oh boy they smell amazing! Not much planned for this aft but may sort out my clothes & do another charity shop run. I have had a pile ready to try on all summer. A lot of it probably won’t fit as I’ve piled on weight what with lockdown & lots of wine 😢Looking forward to BGT tonight, including a set from Diversity. Think Ashley Banjo will be a good addition to the judges desk.

I'm at the park with three of the DC, the other one is at home enjoying ps4 time, DP is having a well earned extended nap after working all through the night. When I get back I'll do some writing and enjoy a cup of tea before we all head for a walk to the local pub later for dinner

We picked up our new kitten this morning so I'm currently sat watching Cars 2 with it snuggled under my legs! I daren't move as he is fast asleep!

S2 playing some sort of game and communicating with friends online, S1 is doing something on his laptop no idea what (he's an adult), I'm messing about on SM attempting to avoid writing a report, and H is reading an old Alistair MacLean book while he waits for his rolls to finish their second proving.

When he's cooked the rolls I will finish making my date and pecan pie.

This morning S2 went to the gym and I did some cleaning and then washed all the cleaning cloths.

We really know how to live round here.

DS1 is setting up all his Minecraft Lego on his bedroom floor (which I was going to hoover this afternoon...) and getting cross if anyone even so much as looks at the door.

DS2 is playing with his tanks/soldiers in his bedroom, doing voices for all the soldiers. It's hilarious listening to him!

I'm sitting on the sofa hand quilting a 6x8ft quilt, which is taking forever!

DH will be home from work soon, and we'll be having our traditional Saturday night board game after tea.

I manage a holiday cottage locally, so finished the ironing first thing, then did the turnover. My student DS helps me, took us about 4 hrs.

Back home now, making a semi sourdough loaf and about to finish the topping for a baked cheesecake.

DH and I run an occasional supper club, obviously at the moment. But we're delivering a meal for 4 to a local campsite at 7pm so making preparations for that.

Both DC's in their rooms, DH watching some TV till he needs to finish his main course for this evening.

Got up reasonably early to visit a friend a take a Maccy breakfast. Had a nice long catch up and stuffed face.
Painting woodwork in the bathroom with DH and washing windows now. Both DD’s having a lazy PJ day as they are tired from having to get up for school both pottering reading and tidying their rooms.
Need to think about food soon and pop to the shop.
Might squeeze a walk in it’s a lovely afternoon.

DH and I were meant to be going shopping but I'm feeling a bit rubbish so we're watching escape to the country!

DDog is flat on her back snoring...

DD is playing Roblox and I'm lying on the sofa writing this. The dog is occasionally jumping on me and generally being a pain.

Wondering if anyone wants to go out tonight quite bored .......

Toddler and I are eating courgette and apple soup with cheese on toast and watching Sarah and Duck. We do the quacks together. Dog is waiting for cheese on toast.

Had a small birthday party in our garden for DD who was 6 on Wednesday. Went great, time flew by, kids loved it & was great seeing them enjoying themselves.
Went food shopping this afternoon & now resting whilst DH is prepping dinner.
DS is pestering DH & DD is watching Andy's Dino Toy Box.

Dd’s gone out for a meal with her boyfriend and his parents and is staying at their house tonight
Dd has gone to his studio to do some work
I’ve done a couple of loads of washing and popped to the shop now I’m cooking fish,chips and mushy peas for tea which will be washed down with a few glasses of wine and I’ll probably watch BGT later or a film once Dh is home

I’ve been napping because I didn’t sleep well last night. DS on the Xbox after a tiring day at school yesterday and DH playing games and cooking dinner. We went for a walk earlier.

Rugby tots this morning (my first proper day as the owner!), then I had rugby training followed by coaching a try rugby session at the club I play for.

Apart from dog walks we haven’t done much really, my little boy has been playing with his lego and causing his usual levels of chaos. We’re off on a dog walk in a few minutes, hopefully we’ll make it to the park without anyone getting grumpy.

DD has just put dinner on.....Night off for me, YES!

Dh is working. I’m watching dinner date. It has an interpreter so that sort of counts as working for a qualification I’m doing. Sort of.
There may be wine open too.

Day of hungover misery, finally feeling perky. Just phoned my dad and am now thinking about what takeaway I fancy. Cats are asleep on living room window sill.

DS(6) is playing with his younger brother in a less death defying way than usual. Younger DDs are playing suspiciously quietly in the next room. DD10 and DS15 are reading on the sofa with me in the living room. DS14 has gone off to do something "Very important, it's all under control, don't worry about it" which I reckon is schoolwork that was supposed to be done ages ago. DD11 helping DH (sort of) in the garden.
It's reasonably quiet and there's chile for tea tonight so I'm very happy.

I've had two naps today as I also have a horrible cold, now drinking a beer (medicinal!), listening to music and looking at pinterest at the kitchen table while DH and DD (8) cook risotto for dinner. DS (15) is upstairs on his laptop, I had actually forgotten he was here...

DD1 starts Year 1 on Mon and has read Harry Potter over the summer. She found it absolutely hilarious when Harry's school letter gets delivered in an egg.

So today I crafted a letter from "VillageSchool of Witchcraft and Wizardry" telling her she was going to learn to be a witch and that her (ver nice earnest) teacher was secretly a wizard. I carefully broke open and cleaned an eggshell.

Tomorrow, I will have eggs for breakfast and "break one open" to discover her letter inside
