My dh has just told me that he gave her one to eat at lunchtime. Apparently she ate half. He had no idea that they shouldn't be eaten raw. I'm now really worried about her.
Does anyone know if it's likely to harm her?

I sprout beansprouts too, and alfalfa which is good in sandwiches with other things. I don't cook them.

I wouldn't eat raw beansprouts. They are notorious for causing food poisoning HOWEVER the risk from such a small amount is teeny tiny even if it did happen to be a contaminated batch so don't worry.

I only ever eat them raw!

Is this a serious question?

@Pinkyandthebrainz

How dramatic.
So worrying about your child's health is dramatic....?

@teezletangler you might want to check the NHS advice: www.nhs.uk/live-well/eat-well/sprouted-seeds-safety-advice/

@Feetupteashot not funny. An Australian boy died recently, a few years after being left in a wheelchair after eating a slug.

Please remember that she might not have chewed it thoroughly, meaning it may make a reappearance. It happened to me. I thought I had worms.
