40th gift idea for designer sil.

My sil is very label concious, I however have a maximum of £100 which isn't going to go very far in her world.
Any ideas of what might be acceptable and not be viewed as a poverty spec present?

I think the problem with facials/massages is that with label conscious people, they probably have the same attitude towards beauty treatments and may regard what you choose as beneath them. Like perhaps they only go to harrods for treatments (or maybe that is too low class), I wouldn't know as I am not that sort of fancy woman.

However, I do know that as far as labels go, she isn't likely to reject hermes or chanel. Might even reject louis vuitton as LV screams nouveua riche to me.

Also OP didn't say to what extent is she label conscious- does that meal furla/coach/aspinal or does that mean only chanel/hermes/fendi/givenchy/loewe and only department store makeup. my mother and relatives belong to the first category so its a lot easier to get a nice gift.

Don't get me wrong Hollow, I wouldn't normally spend that much on her so I'm not trying to be martyr-esque but it's no good pretending that for most people, their 40th is special.
She is already livid that she can't have the big 'Do' she was planning.

I think you may have brought out my bad side as I am tempted to get her an anti aging facial

But still - don't make yourself broke by spending so much on her. She puts herself first; no reason why you should do the same!
