Are you washing new school clothes?

Just curious.

I am going to but a lot of people In rl have said no and think it's odd.

I don’t bother washing new clothes usually but I do with uniform. Wash and iron the shirts to soften them a bit and wash the jumpers inside out so the shirts don’t get completely covered in fluff.

Ah, sorry for being nosy @Mrsemcgregor - I would definitely go insane trying to do that. Heated airer is definitely the way forward 😊

I am more unsure if I should have washed the uniform last worn in March.

@vapeinafleshlight that’s quite alright Smile Sometimes in the summer I do get to put an airer outside in the shared garden, but it’s technically not allowed and some neighbours have been known to complain 🙄

I always wash new clothes. Saw a sort of panorama programme about textile/clothing industry ages ago and basically the textiles were full of dust/chemicals by the time they hit the shops.
Processes may have changed but I am now in the habit.
