Sitting in the sun! DD due any day, so enjoying the peace and quiet before life changes forever. What have you been enjoying?

Timeforatincture · 31/08/2020 17:33

Surrey Sculpture Park.

DeeTractor · 31/08/2020 17:34

It's a bank holiday?

MuseumOfYou · 31/08/2020 17:47

Making spiced apple chutney. Got a bit of an apple glut. I won't need to buy any till our Lord comes again.

AnyFucker · 31/08/2020 17:48

Going for a nice walk in the forest

itsgettingweird · 31/08/2020 17:56

Took da to a theme park yesterday.

Was surprisingly quiet for a BH Sunday.

Today I washed bedding and some clothes and tidied up and have been on MN.

It was suddenly 4pm!

badlydrawnbear · 31/08/2020 18:10

Being the only person in my house and being to watch the tv. DC went to stay with their grandparents and DH went to one of his hobbies, so for a few hours I was alone!

badlydrawnbear · 31/08/2020 18:11

To add to my above post, we didn't go anywhere or do anything. I worked 13hr day on Saturday and last night, so there is not a lot I can say I enjoyed.

MaosChaos · 31/08/2020 18:14

Painted a fence panel white.

soruff · 31/08/2020 18:14

Warning Boast Coming.
Mid morning DH says lets go for a drink.
Then he says with a funny smile, wear a skirt?
We drive out to a quiet stretch of woodland and found somewhere secluded.
Ahhh! then to pub.
Anyone else made the most of the sunny weather?.

AnyFucker · 31/08/2020 18:34

I feel there is something missing from your contribution @soruff

I've enjoyed walking out of work at the end of my 12 hour shift feeling like I've gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson after the last day of EOTHO on a usually busy anyway BH with the sun shining.
I particularly enjoyed being called a cunt and a useless twat, not having a break because the "customers" were already so demanding that none of us dare leave the floor, and being personally blamed for people not booking and therefore not getting a table, the government's t&t and the knock on effect of the table service/social distancing meaning service is slower (we do tell people this).
The icing on the cake though was the "lady" poking her finger into my shoulder telling me how she's entitled to use the 50% off and I've no right refusing her a table, even though we had none left and introducing another would have a) added to the strain we were already under and b) meant the tables in that area were no longer socially distanced.
If only the scientists looking for a vaccine knew that people getting 50% off their meals in a restaurant were immune to catching Covid. What leaps they could make. Or that hospitality staff are immune because introduction of more staff to increase service time and therefore unable to socially distance themselves so people can get a beer 5 minutes faster is of so much vital importance it overrules everything else, even a global pandemic!!
And of course I should absolutely be grateful to be treated in this way because I have a job and the great and amazing public are just making sure I continue to have a job so therefore I should put up with anything and everything people want to throw at me.
I won't be in hospitality by the next bank holiday, don't think many of my colleagues will either after the disgusting behaviour I've experienced since we reopened.

@AnyFucker, This is a general chat thread, I got into trouble before for posting some details.
Have you today or yesterday?
I will match your details, you first.

AnyFucker · 31/08/2020 18:47

I am not the one hinting at outdoor sex @soruff Grin

SimonJT · 31/08/2020 18:49

We’ve had a good weekend, today we have been to a petting farm, had a picnic, walk around a nature park and been to an outdoor playground. The nature walk was four miles, as a result my five year old is already asleep in bed, which is great right now but he is going to wake up at stupid o’clock.

My boyfriend has been locked in the bedroom (it has an en-suite) as he has to self isolate after returning from hospital. My son and I have thoroughly enjoyed passing him things through the cat flap. We would not make kind prison guards.

aibutohavethisusername · 31/08/2020 18:52

Walking in the local park.

PaperMonster · 31/08/2020 19:02

Been for a walk in the sunshine. Then had a nap.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 31/08/2020 19:07

Long walk and then hours in the garden. Hot bath with a new bath oil that I bought on holiday. Lovely day.

Milliways · 31/08/2020 19:10

Camping and lots of coastal walking

Wfhwith3yearold · 31/08/2020 19:12

Had a nap.

Crunchymum · 31/08/2020 19:46

Packing as we go away tomorrow (until the weekend)..... little house by the beach. First family holiday since DC3 arrived [we lost our main holiday in May]

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 31/08/2020 19:47

We're on a mini holiday so we've been at the beach rockpooling today. I also enjoyed EOTHO at a lovely restaurant, managed not to behave like a total Muppet and left a decent tip.

PollyPelargonium52 · 31/08/2020 19:47

Watching Humans on Netflix.

Russellbrandshair · 31/08/2020 19:49

Had an amazing workout at hone with my weights. Hopefully be sore tomorrow as I love that feeling. Then had beautiful roast dinner with beef that melted in my mouth. Found an amazing and actually tasty dairy milk substitute that actually works in coffee! Need to go dairy free but couldn’t find any substitute that didn’t taste vile so yay!!!
