When the first date is days away...and they insist on messaging every day until (lighthearted)

Ok so I get that everyone is different but for me, before I even meet someone, I don't want to spend ages/every day talking to them.

Example, if we've chatted a bit and set a (first) date for the following Saturday (say this is the prior monday) - I dont want to be greeted by 'good morning' messages every day until then xD let alone hear/have to give them a blow by blow account of my day as the day goes on.

I mean fair enough if we've met aready and there's a spark...infact,no, probably not even then lol xD

But I've noticed this seems to be the trend these days. Perhaps it should be flattering but... ugh... lol.

And I'm never really sure how to say 'sorry, but can we just talk when I see you' without sounding like an ice queen xD

I'm just a bit worried that when we meet we don't like eachother and then it'll be more awkward. Like it puts unnecessary pressure on things...

Anyone else successfully navigated?
And am I right in thinking it just seems to be what ppl do these days? (Talking every day between dates).

First world problems lol

I've stopped dating now but when I was I found this so off-putting. It'd make me not want to meet. My friends used to tell me I was weird & should be flattered. Nope. No idea what the answer is though I just decided online dating wasn't for me anymore. But it's nice to know I'm not as weird as my friends made me feel 😂

I hated this when dating!
I've just woken up, need to walk dog, have a coffee, wake kids endless times to get ready for sch etc etc
And they text 'Hi Gorgeous what are you up to today?' or 'How's your morning going?'
WTF! I don't need this now, piss off til I see you next weekAngry (light hearted)

Some women, not me like that much comms and would be upset if their date didn't stay in touch. You need to meet someone who is on the same wave length with comms. Tell him you don't want to message every day and see if he respects that. Also if you reply of course he'll think you want to talk to him.
