I am avoiding using the microwave now and wondered what your best cold lunches are. So far I have:

Dahl ( don't mind it cold)
Pasta pesto
Baguettes
Pizza

Any other ideas?

I just take the night before's leftovers. But I am a savage and will eat anything cold if it's got enough sauce on it

No more microwave at work, no more shared milk, not sure aboit shared fridge.

I am planning on buying a tin for ryvitas to keepat work, and taking flasks of soup - as all the windows will be open, I don't think a cold lunch will be enough...

sitckmansladylove · 30/08/2020 08:50

Yes.. it's the same at work with us. I might bring two flasks. One with tea and one with soup.

AlohaMolly · 30/08/2020 08:55

Are you allowed to use the kettle?

I used to take really thin dried noodles, veg like sweetcorn/peas and cooked meat/fish like prawns or chicken or something. Throw some herbs over the top and a stock cube and then at lunch time pour boiling water over the top. It’s not cordon bleu but it was quite nice!!

Alternatively, I’ve started making a cheats chowmein and eating that cold! Quicker than making a salad in the morning too!
