In the park - about 2 dozen women (I think they’re were) mostly in long white clothing, standing in a circle with their arms out.

At first I thought it was a wedding but they were just standing there in a big circle. I couldn’t hear anything (it close enough to hear and not brave enough to wander over and ask what was going on).

Any ideas? There has also been an awful lot of emergency vehicles hooting around today (probably not related).

I saw a mixed-sex group in white clothes too, but with large crosses on. No arms out.

29 August celebrates (?) the beheading of John the Baptist in some Catholic and Orthodox Christian traditions but I don't know if that involves white gowns.

I think extinction rebellion have been quite active lately (there was a protest today in a town near us). Some of their members are prone to looking a bit hippish/pagan-ish.

They weren’t bothering anyone, making a massive song and dance or generally in the way so I don’t think they were XR! I thought maybe a religious day for someone?

DH said it might me something to do with suffis and I think he could be right but I’m not sure if they’d be in the park.

The XR guys were hanging banners and waving flags on the overpasses on the expressway by us yesterday.

Still sirens screaming away. I wonder what is going on?
