3 numbers plus a lucky star on the lottery

We are confused, we won 3 numbers plus a lucky star on the lottery but only won £5 whereas if we were to win just 3 numbers then we would have won £5.20.

Why is this? Surely 3+1 should be worth more?! Anyone explain please?

I THINK it depends how many people have got 3+1 or just 3. So a percentage of the prize fund is allocated to each result and then that’s divided up by how many people get that amount of numbers. I remember a while ago there was a week where the people who got 4 numbers won more money than the people who had 5 and this was why.
