I'm in my 50s and like a good old mixture of music. Modern, r&b , rock , old , I just hate show tunes. I know that's a big shock to many.

Radio 1 is like a kids show.
Radio 2 is 24 hours of shout outs and especially on weekends celebs rather than trained radio presenters that haven't quite got it in my eyes. There's no flow. I've just tried to listen to Alan and Mel and I felt it was all a bit forced.
Capital, kiss etc only seem to have 10 songs they play on repeat.
I like radio 4 but sometimes I just want background music and light chat.

Who do you listen too ?

Absolute radio. Really love it. Great mix of music and good presenters. Lots of 90s, 2000s type stuff. No hard core rap or dance music. Seems aimed at the 30s to 50s market! They also have a no repeat guarantee.

Thank you. I'll give it a try.

Heart is pretty good, and DAB have Heart 70s and 80s and may even have 60s

ShitUsername · 29/08/2020 14:07

Absolute radio 👍

Absolute, absolute 90s or Virgin. As with the BBC channels though, they are also pot at the weekends compared with during the week.

Absolute is the winner !!

I've had it on all afternoon and it's been great.

Thanks everyone , wish I'd asked a long time ago. Grin
