Would you say this is boys or girls ?

I'd say it could be either really, blue is primary a boys colour but the heart and white bit would look cute on a girl too

Rtmhwales · 28/08/2020 01:01

Boy, but it looks fairly neutral for me if you're worried about colors and a baby's sex.

Pinkandblue20 · 28/08/2020 01:02

Thankyou, I'd say it's more of a mint colour xx

I can't quite tell if it's blue and pink or blue and white. If blue and pink, I would assume a girl as I think it's generally more common for girls to wear blue than for boys to wear pink. If blue and white, I would assume a boy. Of course any baby could wear it but those are the cultural norms.

YouWereGr8InLittleMenstruators · 28/08/2020 01:05

It is very lovely and can obviously be for either a boy or a girl.
Try not to perpetuate sex based stereotypes by suggesting that specific colours may be more suitable for one sex or the other (also looking at your username).

If it’s a minty green then I’d say either, it neutral. Love mint green colour 🙂

Pinkandblue20 · 28/08/2020 01:09

Thankyou, I've been asked to knit a boys set and girls for a friends friends baby and wasn't sure about the mint, I always dressed my girl in mint because it really suited her xx

They are gorgeous. I'm sure your friend's friend will be delighted. I loved all the home made knitted items I got. My baby is growing out of the cardi's and I'm gutted. They will be safely stored.

shittingmysel · 28/08/2020 02:22

I have a ginger baby and she looks gorgeous in mint - she's also the double of her dad so mint suits both Grin

ImaSababa · 28/08/2020 06:56

Unless it it designed specifically for male or female genitalia, then it could be for either. Obviously 😖

VirginiaWolverine · 28/08/2020 06:59

It's for a baby with a head.

Fatted · 28/08/2020 07:05

I'd say either. I don't subscribe to this pink for girls, blue for boys nonsense though.

@shittingmysel my eldest is ginger. I'd always been told don't dress him in green, but he actually really suits green and turquoise

PaperMonster · 28/08/2020 07:16

Either.

toomanyspiderplants · 28/08/2020 07:19

Looks grey? its lovely. so either

BanditsBum · 28/08/2020 07:23

Mint is neutral I put both my DS and DD in although have never been caught up with boy/girl colours.

eurochick · 28/08/2020 07:25

Unless it's a willy warmer, either.

Howallergic · 28/08/2020 07:27

Girl

I would say it is for boys or girls equally yes. You are correct.

Both my DD and I are redheads and wear green regularly. It’s one of my favourite colours to wear! Colours I don’t wear are yellow and orange.

OP, they could be for a boy or a girl.

HeyMicky · 28/08/2020 07:38

Either. Both boys and girls wear hats.
