Having a bit of a tough time at the mo... dreading going back to my job next week (school), and feeling like I'm failing my beautiful dog who has suddenly become reactive, and my DD2's wedding plans have been screwed because of covid.
I was sitting around feeling really miserable, and then this appeared on Twitter.

What Helen and Douglas house children's hospice do is incredible, even through Covid they have supported dying and life limited children and their families, and some nurses have been seconded to the 'not for resusitation' covid wards, at huge emotional cost.
My DD2 is the nurse with the really red hair in the video. Some days she comes home and cries because supporting families through the worst moment of their lives, is HARD, but she does it. They all do it.
Please support your own local children's hospice. The difference they make to families facing the worst imaginable times, is incredible.
Watching my dd2, there, when so much of her own plans have gone to shit this year, but still smiling... puts my stress into perspective!
