Anyone cured the up the cot creeping child?

I’m having a time of it with DD - 20 months - she fights sleep for 2 to 3 hours every night at the moment but once she’s down, she is out for the count until 4am then she wakes me up yelling because she has her head pressed up against the top of her cot.
She is usually still asleep so I slide her back down to the bottom of the cot.

But that is me awake for the day... I can’t get back to sleep and I’m really quite tired now!

I think she must sleep on her front with her bum in the air and straighten her body then go back to bum in the air and slowly creep up the cot.
The cot is slightly raised due to her persistent reflux so she’s creeping uphill too.

Is it time for a pillow - with that stop the creeping?

Any solutions gratefully received.

Could you put her in a sleeping bag and go to sleep at the foot of the bed? Then she has room to creep up maybe?

My DS is a head banger too 🙄 thankfully he doesn't wake up, we just hear the odd "thunk".

I would get a pillow.
Although I think mine was about that age when she would wake up and want to be placed on the floor to sleep Hmm.
She has a double bed now.

Had to move my ds to a toddler bed at this age due to him banging against bars and waking himself up.

Thanks all; I’ve ordered a pillow; irritatingly her cot will become her toddler bed so she will still have the top bars for a while, I can’t afford to get her a proper bed just yet.

I think I have a larger sleeping bag/gro bag type thing somewhere, I’ll give that another try, she seemed to go off them a few months ago and I figured she was ready for her sheets and blankets.
