Have confirmed to myself today what wrecked my left knee Sad

Anyone else in the same position? Has anyone managed to fix theirs without a surgery?

Not knee but had knackered left foot..just get an automatic car. You won’t regret it.

I’m having similar problems as my back is knackered and affects my left leg. I’m going to have to give in and get an automatic at some point.

I have an automatic, would never go back to manual.

I used to have to drive daily on the vast car park that is the M25. The constant left foot clutch depressing and raising as we crawled along made my knee seize so badly. Automatic is the answer. Failing that, industrial strength painkillers.

Surely the first thing you need is a diagnosis and appropriate physio exercises. Which none of us can tell you. Go to your GP!

Definitely get an automatic car, so much easier to drive. I couldn't go back to a manual even if I wanted to!

I suffer from severe back pain and recurring throncanteric bursitis in my left hip. Some days driving a manual car would leave me in tears, even on short journeys. I drive a lot and can't be without my car. The best thing I ever did was switch to an automatic. No more clutch use, and i can pop the cruise control on, rest my hip and guarantee I don't get a speeding ticket on the new smart motorways!

Thanks all.
It's only know that I have had a temporary use of automatic car and no sign of pain, I realised why I had the pain in the first place!! Wish I realised sooner.

So it's got to be automatic from now on.
