Where have all the school shirts gone?

Cant find any girls white short sleeve school shirts for age 13-14 and 14-15 anywhere. Most the shops (mainly online), I have looked at, they have nothing if you are over 10!!!
Dc's will not wear a boys version before it is suggested.

I tried Sainsbury's (in store and online) , Matalan, Asda.

I know there is still Tesco but I have been avoiding the big one in our area since lockdown.

I dont have the budget for John Lewis or Debenhams or the school shop. Although I looked at Next and they didnt have any if you were older than 10!ConfusedHmm

If Tesco hasnt got any, can anyone offer me any ideas?

Marks & Spencer?

Corneliusmurphy · 25/08/2020 21:01

Lots in our Tesco but I can’t find any grey trousers Hmm I really miss their online clothes service

Corneliusmurphy · 25/08/2020 21:03

Actually do you have a primark? This time of year they often do office stuff, you may be able to get white shirts in the adult range. I’m hoping I can find dd a black v neck jumper as so far I can only find cardigans which aren’t allowed.

Tesco had loads a few weeks ago when we were looking but no-one had boys grey school shorts or black pullovers

Feels like the supermarkets anyway were stocking a far more limited range of products than usual.

nc600 · 25/08/2020 21:17

No boys stuff round here. Just girls. Infuriating

blamethecat · 25/08/2020 21:18

I can't find size 2 pe pumps.
I am dragging poor ds around all the shops tomorrow until I find him some.

KurriKawari · 25/08/2020 21:24

I cant find any black trousers for girls aged 12 online anywhere:/

Muchtoomuchtodo · 25/08/2020 21:27

Sainsbury or Morrison’s?

PickACoolUserName · 25/08/2020 21:28

Supply issues due to Covid restrictions?

CherryValanc · 25/08/2020 21:32

Experiencing the same here in Ireland. Think because no one knew if schools were going back properly until recently no one bought uniform. Everyone is now trying to get hold of it.

It's like loo roll free-lockdown.

crispsahoy · 25/08/2020 21:33

I've resorted to amazon!!

nc600 · 25/08/2020 21:49

Thank you ! If I have no luck tomorrow I'll use them.

minnieok · 25/08/2020 22:07

Morrison's, primark, Aldi (had uniforms but no idea how big)

RoseMartha · 27/08/2020 21:18

Thanks for ideas. Managed to get some in Tesco, now we need to see if they fit. Even Tesco mainly had ones for under tens.

Not good re other peoples issues on uniform. Hope you all get what you need.

Oh no this does not fill me with much hope.

AbyssusAbyssumInvocat · 27/08/2020 22:15

Oh, don't!!! I only realised today that it's only next week they go back! I've got nothing!

Beamur · 27/08/2020 22:18

Next usually have a better range online.
If you have a school uniform shop nearby they might have some too. I got good trousers for my DD from ours, shop ones are hit and miss with fitting.

Gazelda · 27/08/2020 22:26

I've been looking for exactly the same! I ended up getting them from very.com.

BashfulClam · 27/08/2020 22:29

Some schools have asked that kids wear fresh uniform every day in Scotland so some folk might have been buying 5 of each item to save washing during the week.

BrieAndChilli · 27/08/2020 22:33

New look had white school shirts - DD needs b,use so no good for us! Did manage to get her tights from there after looking everywhere. Adult ones in small sizes are too long and nowhere else had black tights for anything over about 5 years old!!!

FrangipaniBlue · 27/08/2020 22:43

Probably the same place boys age 12 slim fit trousers - I cannot find any ANYWHERE!!!!

gingajewel · 27/08/2020 22:46

I read the other day that Sainsburys aren’t having the 25% of like they normally do in august due to supplier issues so I’m guessing this includes school uniform.

ExclamationPerfume · 27/08/2020 22:51

Next were quoting 14 weeks delivery for boys trousers.

Beamur · 27/08/2020 23:03

Second hand? Any friends with older kids maybe. The YMCA in next biggest town to me sells pre-loved uniform.
