Blankiefan · 25/08/2020 19:23

Lego. She's totally gotten into it over lockdown and get a huge value from it. She's become great at building.

DancingintheSpoonlight · 25/08/2020 19:39

DD6 LOVES lego, Barbies, writing stories (lots of nice notebooks and pens), playmobil, building dens (maybe a tent/teepee?), dinner parties with her teddies and kitchen stuff, science kits, baking (has apron and mini utensils). She also has a tablet which has some alright games and stories on.

CottonSock · 25/08/2020 19:40

Lego and moaning about having more screen time.

Ricekrispie22 · 25/08/2020 19:43

Making bracelets and necklaces
Hama beads
Playing ‘mums and babies’ with her dolls and dolls’ accessories
Making up dance routines
Playing on her Nintendo 2DS - it was second hand and she’s got Nintendogs and Animal Crossing
Making patterns with her Spirograph
Playing hairdressers on her styling head
Playing with/annoying her hamster

ItsmineAllmine · 25/08/2020 21:17

Aqua beads
Hama beads
Sticker books (where you dress models up in clothes)
Barbies
LOL dolls
Hatchimals
Anything crafty - make your own bracelet kits, that type of thing

BanditsBum · 25/08/2020 21:58

Nerf guns, more nerf guns...add some nerf guns.

Nintendo switch is popular too as is the trampoline, kindle, chess, scooter, pokemon cards.

And of course the bloody xbox but would not recomend that.

formerbabe · 25/08/2020 22:01

At that age my dd loved dolls houses...she had several small, cheaper plastic ones rather than one big one which she loved as she used to make a little town out of them!

Lots of dolls and a chalk board and she would play schools.

Lego

Toy kitchen

Fatted · 25/08/2020 22:07

My eldest likes
Lego
Pokémon
The one that's like pokémon and transformers (Bakugan?)
Nintendo - mainly Minecraft. He also has minecraft toys and minecraft lego
He also loves drawing

My youngest is five, but likes similar things, as well as playmobil

I'm planning on getting them the Supermario lego sets for Christmas.

SpeedofaSloth · 25/08/2020 22:11

Lego, Playmobil, drawing/ arts and crafts, Minecraft and Roblox.

Oryxx · 25/08/2020 22:15

Sylvanian Families and Lego are consistent winners. She also loves drawing with her Sharpies and painting.

PatMustardsBigTool · 25/08/2020 22:17

My 6 year old DD likes to do all of the above.
What does she DESPERATELY want to do, given half the chance? Play games or watch YouTube for hours on the iPad. I am a horrible mum for not allowing this, according to her. (She does get some screen time but it is very limited as it affects her behaviour and she becomes very grumpy.)

Dancingbea · 25/08/2020 22:20

Stationary, pens, notebooks, for stories and drawing.
Minecraft minecraft minecraft.
Teddies.
Minecraft.

Gertie75 · 25/08/2020 22:29

Dd is really into Splatoon 2 on the Nintendo switch and Roblox.

She'll play with her Barbies and Hatchimals when I make her play something other than screens but given the choice she'd do that 24/7

Snuzzle · 25/08/2020 22:45

Lego
Playmobil
Lol dolls
Craft kits
Drawing/colouring
Scooter
Remote control car

These are the things that are played with constantly and that DD6 enjoys the most. She’s always been very into making things or small world play rather than role play type toys though

Ozgirl75 · 26/08/2020 00:22

My 7 yo boy likes drawing, Lego, trampoline, playing football and would love to do more crafts but I sadly indulge him less than he would like. Also loves remote control cars and things like that.

MinnieMountain · 26/08/2020 07:06

Transformers
Lego
Hex Bugs
Electronics
Nailing things together on his work bench.

Millie2013 · 26/08/2020 07:53

DD loves crafts- card making, making little beaded bracelets, or just doing pictures. At her 6th birthday party, we had a bouncy castle and craft table and the majority of the kids made a bee line for the craft table first. I bought some paper bags with handles and they decorated those and used then to take home their “makes” in, I added sweets and cake and used them as party bags. Everyone said how much their child enjoyed it

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 26/08/2020 08:18

I have a 6+7, boys though, and they are obsessed with minecraft. Not just playing the actual game, just anything to do with it, the magazines and books, the figures the soft toys.
Lego, nerf, dress up outfits are a big thing (marvel characters, star wars, army, even greatest showman!)
A decent bicycle is a good investment, we get loads of use out of ours, mine don't like scooters.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 26/08/2020 08:26

Lego
Craft/Science kits
Barbie
Designafriend/Our Generation type doll and outfits/accessories
Den making/digging in the garden/exploring/building things from sticks and rope
Reading (she likes adventure, mystery and crime stories, her sister likes school stories, animals, fantasy etc)
