DC has a letter yesterday. Does this mean it's now a lifetime thing?

I am guessing they will reassess when they have caught up the covid backlog.

Lifelong doesn't exist anymore..'ongoing' means up to ten years.
Having said that I recently needed to ask for a copy of my son's award letter and it seems he had been reawarded without me doing anything so I guess they sometimes review without saying!

Is it because of the COVID situation? I know a lot of people where getting six months extension,s on DLA because of the pandemic.

I've just re-read the letter.
The award is ongoing, so that's good news.
