My 15 yr old has me on my last nerve.
We've just had a discussion where he 100% gaslit me. He was roaring on PS4, was warned to quieten down & stop cursing or it would be taken off him. He continued, so DH took the controller away.
He ran away for a while till he realized it was too much bother & then came home. Belligerent isn't the word. Apparently, we are unreasonable and never do anything for him, all we care about is his brother. He hit all my guilt buttons and made up new ones. Zero perspective or empathy.
I honestly haven't a clue how to get through to him. And he isn't even the worst teenager! At least he's not drinking etc. I hope this stage doesn't go in for too much longer.
